About Professor Irma Ramirez, Architecture

Irma Ramirez is a Tenured Professor of Architecture at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Her expertise is in the areas of housing and Urban Design with a focus on social and cultural factors. Professor Ramirez has worked at the offices of Moule and Polyzoides Architects and Urbanists in Pasadena, Zaha Hadid Architects in London, and Herman Stoller Coliver Architects in San Francisco. She has been awarded national planning awards from the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners, and has lectured internationally in Mexico and China while developing working and teaching relationships with North China University of Technology. 

At Cal Poly Pomona, Professor Ramirez teaches:

About Professor Ernesto Perez, Landscape Architecture

Ernesto Perez is a Landscape Architecture Lecturer at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. With an interest in urban ecological design, he has focused his research in the South East Los Angeles communities and their challenges with cultural and social environmental justice issues. He continues his private practice in design build projects throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. He is also a committed community advocate, working with local organizations that provide valuable work experience and mentoring opportunities to local youth.
